Manufacture dates can sometimes be found using a serial number or
different codes stamped on the firearms. For further information we
recommend the STANDARD BOOK OF FIREARMS by Ned Schwing and DATES OF
MANUFACTURE series by D.R. and M.T. Morse. The STANDARD BOOK OF
FIREARMS also provides a general guide for pricing, as well as, very
detailed information on different firearms. The DATES OF MANUFACTURE
series are great guides in a "pocket book" format that can be carried
with you while visiting the shops and gun shows. A good source of the
information was taken from these fine books. The links provided is for
the purchasing of these books.
